She was the second ship in the Kitty Hawk Class of ships and the third ship in the US Navy to bear the name Constellation. Nicknamed 'America’s Flagship', she was decommissioned on August 7, 2003, after 41 years, nine months and 11 days of naval service. She will be moth-balled in the Pacific Northwest.
